George Ware Obituary, 2009

SHELBY – Mr. George Ware, 86, of 617 Dellinger Road, died Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at home.
A native of Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Thomas and Maggie McDaniel Ware. He was former owner and operator of the Ware Brothers Auto Body Shop in Forest City and was a member of Zoar Baptist Church. He served in the Army during World War II, and was a recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He very much enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty West Ware; his brothers, J.D., Horace, Buford, Woodrow, Maynard, Gene and Charles Ware; and a sister, Delta Humphries.
He is survived by two daughters, Donna Hall and husband, Larry, of Hickory and Jane Revis and husband, Lee, of Fuquay-Varina; a sister, Inez Eskew of Shelby; three grandchildren, Andrew Hall and wife, Donna, and Justin Hall and wife, Stacy, all of Hickory and Jacob Revis of Fuquay-Varina; two great-grandchildren, Landen Hall and Noah Hall, both of Hickory; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation: The family will receive friends Thursday, June 18, 6 to 8 p.m., at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home and other times at the home of Billy and Sherry Blanton, 1314 Wyanoke Ave., Shelby.
Funeral: Friday, June 19, 10 a.m., Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel
Burial: Cleveland Memorial Park with military honors
