Alva Lois Bruner Ware Obituary, 2014

 

 

 

 

 

Mrs. Alva Lois Bruner Ware, 92, of Panama City, passed away Monday, May 5, 2014 at Covenant Hospice Inpatient Care Facility at Bay Medical Center.

Mrs. Ware was born February 24, 1922 to Kinnie Washington and Martha E. Adkison in Coffee County, AL. She was a member of Sandhills Assembly of God Church. Mrs. Ware loved arts and crafts, and she was very talented in sewing and needle work. Mrs. Ware was a loving mother and grandmother. She attended the Council on Aging Respite Center.

Mrs. Ware was preceded in death by her husbands: Hall Bruner and Lloyd Ware; son, William Donald Bruner; and granddaughter, Donita Waters; son-in-law, Jay Broome, brother WIlbur Adkison; two sisters, Jewell Cook and Hilma Cody Stewart.

She is survived by her four daughters: Connie Pritt and husband JR of Southport, FL, Dorothy Broome of Alford, FL, Charlotte Sanders of Alford, FL, and Shirley Roth and husband Luther of Alford, FL; two sisters: Alma Spinks of Clayhatchee, AL and Dixie Mills and husband Bennie of Fruitland Park, FL; eleven grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and a nephew; and many Friends from Southport, Lynn Haven, and the Panama City area.

Graveside services will be 3:00 pm. Thursday, May 8, 2014 at Mabson Community Cemetery in Ozark, AL. Mrs. Ware’s grandsons will serve as pall bearers. The family will receive friends at Southerland Family Funeral Home, Wednesday, May 7, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family ask donations to be made to Council on Aging or Covenant Hospice.
