
Vernon Edward “Quick” Ware Passed away with his daughter Sharyn by his side on July 22, 2007, at Bethany Village. His wife of 30 years, Joan (Griffin) Ware preceded him in death in 1976. Vernon was the son of Jerry (a blind, traveling Gospel Singer) and Marie (Gregory) Ware who both preceded him in death as well as his sisters Louise (Ware) Hughes & Cora Ellen (Ware) Long and his brother George Ware. He became a member of Northside Nazerene Church as a young boy. Vernon attended IPS school #41 and graduated from Shortridge High School and shortly after, he entered the US Navy during WWII at the age of seventeen. He retired from Jenn Air in 1978. Left to mourn him are his loving daughters Sharyn Ware Chambers (Richard), Lisa Ware Dabrowiak (Michael), son Jerry Ware (Larecca), two granddaughters, Yvette Walker (Alan) and Yalera Robinson (Derek) four grandsons, Richard Chambers Jr , Jerry Ware Jr, Datrion and Jashon Ware, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. His sister Dorthy (Ware) Marino (Albert), three nieces, Sandi Marino, Alberta Marino Blake (Greg), Janet Hughes Skaggs (James), and special Friend Mary Lou Donaldson. Visitation will be Thursday, July 26, 2007 from 2 – 8 p.m. at Little & Sons Funeral Home Beech Grove Chapel and Friday, July 27 from 10 – 11 a.m. at Faith Assembly of God in Beech Grove, where the funeral will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Brooklyn Cemetery, Brooklyn, IN.
