Waverly Eugene Ware, 72, of Potts Camp, Mississippi, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2014. He was a member of Springhill Baptist Church, a master farmer whose gardens were legendary. The only thing that was larger than his garden, was his heart. He readily shared his riches and gardening with others. Mr. Ware loved his family and there was no other place that his grandchildren would rather be than in his arms or on his knee. He was greatly loved and will be missed by all. Mr. Ware, the husband of Mary Irene Ware for 53 years, also leaves two daughters, Debra Stevens of Cordova, TN and Brandy Crouch of Potts Camp, MS; a son, Mike Ware of Eads, TN; two sisters, Joann Cash of Somerville, TN and Shirley Agee of Middleton, TN; two brothers, Lonnie Ware of Batesville, MS and Wayne Ware of Covington, TN; eleven grandchildren, David Ware, Amelia Cox, Angus Oswalt, Alexis Quone, Destany Oswalt, Harlie Oswalt, Jon Crouch, Cade Crouch, Bethany Crouch, Allison Ware and Katelyn Ware and seven great grandchildren, Dixie Ware, Kadence Ware, Alton Ware, Brayden Oswalt, Mallory Oswalt, Lydia Cox and Emma Quon. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, July 1 from 5-8 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. A Celebration of Mr. Ware’s Life will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday afternoon at the funeral home with interment to follow in Memorial Gardens.
