Caroline Annette Sorensen Ware (1841 – 1875)

CAROLINE ANNETTE SORENSEN WARE Caroline was born on March 15, 1841 to Soren Aarslef Rasmussen and Kirstine Marie Jorgensen Ryssel in Faarup, Krogsbeak, Randers, Denmark. Caroline was the only member of her family to join the Church. She was baptized on November 28, 1866. She immigrated to Utah by herself. Caroline married Samuel Ware in the Endowment House in Salt Lake City on January 25, 1868. Samuel was 44 years old and had had three wives that had previously died. Samuel and Caroline had five children: Caroline Annette – 29 December 1868; James Russell – 25 December 1870; Naomi Kristina – 9 July 1872 (died as an infant); Rachel Henrietta – 1 October 1873; Esther Jermina – 20 April 1875. James Russell Ware, a son and our ancestor, served a mission in Denmark and went to visit his Grandparents (Caroline’s parents). They welcomed him as a grandson but would still not listen to the message of the restored Gospel. Caroline died at the birth of Esther Jermina on 20 April 1875. She is buried in Manti, Utah.
