Dorothy A. Ware, 61, Versailles, died Oct. 13, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born March 21, 1941, in Boonville, a daughter of Clarence I. and Mary B. Smith Wright. Her mother survives in Boonville. She was married June 17, 1972, to Charles W. Ware, who survives at the home.
She was a homemaker and a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church of Speed.
Other survivors include: two sons, Charles M. Ware, Kansas City, and Shaun Ware, Versailles; two daughters, Tina Boggess, Sedalia, and Kay Morney, Florissant; two brothers, James Wright, Denver, and Richard Wright, Boonville; five sisters, Betty Stark, Springfield, Ill., Georgia Maupins, Tipton, Barbara Jackson, Sedalia, Mary L. Wright, Boonville, and Ann Wright, Lompoc, Calif.; and five grandsons.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Second Baptist Church, Versailles. The Rev. Wanda Alvis will officiate. Burial will be Versailles Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to Bethel A.M.E. Church of Speed or Second Baptist Church, Versailles.
Arrangements are under the direction of Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles.
