My father was always called Jr, who loved life. When very young I remember going to the fairs in the community, he loved Horse back riding and purchased ponies for my brother and I when we were about four or five. He was not educated past the sixth grade, never learning to read or write. He was a very hard working man who faught hard for family. He lived in the depression in Maine where his father Frank Homer Ware Sr had potato farm that helped many in the community. I believe he quit school due to the need of family support and joined the Navy where he was trained as a radioman. I believe he had help from friends to get through the academics because he could not read or write, not sure if he was able to complete a tour.
