Kathryn L. Ware, 67, east Kansas City, died Dec. 20, 1993, at Research Medical Center. Services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at the Mount Moriah & Freeman Chapel; burial in Mount Moriah Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the chapel.

The family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society.

Mrs. Ware was born in Orrick in Ray County and had lived in this area since 1943. She was a former member of the Raytown Christian Church.

Her husband, Edward Ware, died in 1990. Survivors include two sons, J. Ronald Thompson, Fairway, and Thomas Thompson, Tampa, Fla.; four sisters, Laura Vincent, Camdenton, Mo., Juanita Barnes, Bella Vista, Ark., Mary Lillard, Lee’s Summit, and Leona Plowman, Greeley, Colo.; and four grandchildren.
