Mildred H. Ware, a longtime dietitian in St. Louis, died of infirmities Wednesday (Feb. 24, 1993) at Delmar Gardens on the Green in Chesterfield. She was 96.
Mrs. Ware began her career as a dietitian in the 1920s at Cleveland High School. She later held the same post at the old Stix, Baer and Fuller restaurant and the old Western Union cafeteria.
From the early 1950s to the 1980s, she was purchasing agent for the Food Service Management Co. in St. Louis. She retired in 1982.
She was married for 36 years to Karl Ware, a teacher at Cleveland High School and athletic league manager for St. Louis Public High Schools. He died in 1959.
The funeral service will be private. Her body was cremated.
Among survivors are a daughter, Kathryn Geppert of Brentwood; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren
