Barbara Rose Bennett Ware, 81, of Olive Branch, MS, passed away at Methodist Hospice House on March 28, 2016. Mrs. Ware was born in Sikeston, MO on December 17, 1934. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Norma Bennett, her husband of 62 years, Dale Ware, and her only son, Kevin Dale Ware. Mrs. Ware was a homemaker but worked as a telephone operator while her husband was in the service. She later was employed by Sears Roebuck & Co. She was always active in her church serving in many areas such as Sunday School teacher, Women’s Ministries leader, choir member, and Bible School teacher. Barbara was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter, Debra Ware Goode and her son-in-law, John W. Goode, of Olive Branch, Ms. Her daughter, Linda Grammer Kilgo of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and daughter-in-law, Tammi Meier Ware of Arlington, TN. “Meems” also leaves her grandchildren, Kristen Goode Rushing (Braxton), of Slidell, LA, Jay Dale Ware (Angie), and Paige Ware Homes (Chase), all of Arlington, TN, and John Bennett Goode (Hannah) of Memphis, TN, as well as six great-grandchildren, Abby, Hadley, Aaron, Anabelle, Nolan, and Olivia Rose. Her seventh, Baby Goode, will arrive in October. Barbara also leaves one brother, Larry Bennett (Mary Kay) of Vandalia, IL. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 12-2pm with the funeral service immediately following at 2pm, all at Meadowbrook Baptist Church, 3115 Old Pigeon Roost Rd. Byhalia, MS 38611. Interment will follow in Byhalia Cemetery.
