Irene Ware Garrett Obituary, 2001

WINONA – Services for Irene Ware Garrett, 92, of Winona, who died of heart failure Wednesday, July 4, 2001, at Winona Manor Nursing Home, were at 10 a.m. today at Moore Memorial United Methodist Church in Winona.

Mrs. Garrett was a homemaker and grocery clerk. She was an active member of Moore Memorial Methodist Church and its Volunteer Bible class. She also was a member of the Winona Home Demonstration Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Noel Garrett. She is survived by a daughter, Nina Groce of Winona; a son, Jack Groce of Winona; a brother, Wayman Ware of Winona; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday.

The Revs. David Carroll, Bill Kemp and A.G. Clark officiated at the services.Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery with Oliver Funeral Home in charge.
