J. Stuart Ware Obituary, 1995

J. STUART WARE, 82, of Rydal Park, died Wednesday at Abington Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Ware was born in Oaklyn and graduated in 1931 from Collingswood High School. He served in the Army during World War II in the European Theater.

After the war, he attended the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, from which he graduated in 1949.

Mr. Ware worked for J.J. Pocock in Philadelphia, distributing Frigidaire products.

He worked in New York and Philadelphia for General Motors after that company acquired Frigidaire.

In 1958, he became senior vice president and treasurer of Ellisco Inc., manufacturer of small containers, from which he retired after 20 years in 1978.

He was a former member of the Oaklyn Baptist Church and the Oaklyn School Board. He was a member of the Abington Presbyterian Church.

Survivors: his wife, Rheta Batten Ware; sons, Donald E. and Robert C., and four grandchildren.

Services were held yesterday.
