Mia Michelle Ware Obituary, 2004

JACKSONVILLE – Mia Michelle Ware, 36, of Jacksonville died Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004, at Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville.

She was born Nov. 11, 1967, in Jacksonville, the daughter of Danny and Karla Beddingfield Farmer. She married William Bradley “Brad” Ware in 1995 in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.

Mrs. Ware graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1985. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in history at Illinois State University in 1990, where she was a Sigma Phi Alpha Little Sister. She managed the photo lab at Prestige Video; served as a substitute teacher with School District 117, Winchester School District and the Illinois School for the Visually Impaired; and worked as a Longaberger sales consultant.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, serving on the Fox Trust Fund Committee and as chairman of Vacation Bible School; Jacksonville Assembly 19 Order of Rainbow, serving as worthy adviser in 1981 and a junior member of the state executive committee; Arcadia Women’s Club; the Pilot Club, serving as secretary and on the board of directors for several years; Passavant Hospital Auxiliary; Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary Board; and the American Cancer Society Western Division Regional Board. She was active with the American Cancer Society Relay For Life, serving on the Illinois Task Force and as honorary chairman for the past three years and as co-chairman.

Survivors: husband, Bradley; son, Jayden Bradley Ware, at home; mother, Karla (husband, Ron) Henderson of Jacksonville; father, Danny (wife, Lucille) Farmer of South Jacksonville; half brother, Chad (wife, Stacey) Bock of Normal; two half sisters, Brandye Farmer (husband, Ron) Hendrickson of Indianapolis and Tiffany Farmer of Jacksonville; and stepgrandmother, Blanche Henderson of Jacksonville.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Grace United Methodist Church, Jacksonville. Burial: Island Grove Woodwreath Cemetery.

Cody & Son Memorial Home in Jacksonville is in charge of arrangements.
