Billy Joe Ware Obituary, 2009

Billy Joe Ware, 69, of Flat Rock, Al., formerly of South Pittsburg, Tn., died on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Helen Marie Levan Ware.

Mr. Ware was a former employee of Tennessee Alloy, retired from Wolf Tree Company, was a member of the American Kennel Club and coached little league baseball for 20 years.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Ware of Chattanooga; daughters, Rachel Diane Shreves of Toccoa, Ga., Cheryl Higgins of South Pittsburg and Billie Marie Ware of Winchester, Tn.; sons, Robert Louis (Shelia) Ware of Henager, Al., and William Joseph “Jody” (Leigh) Ware of Charlotte, Tn.; sisters, Frankie (Ed) Stewart, Mary Margaret (Clarence) White and Nancy (Paul) Payne, all of South Pittsburg, eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and his dear friend, Rachel E. Davenport of Flat Rock.

Funeral services will be conducted at the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home at 1 p.m. CDT on Friday, with Rev. Morris Hicks officiating. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Jasper, Tn.

The family will receive friends at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg from 5-9 p.m. on Thursday.
