Cynthia Ware Widdoes Clarkson Obituary, 2007

BEDFORD, NH Cynthia (Ware) Widdoes Clarkson, 89 of Londonderry, NH died May 30, 2007 at Harborside Nursing Home in Bedford after an extended illness.

She was born in Worcester, MA June 28 1917, the daughter of Leroy Warren and Edith Mildred (Stockwell) Ware. She graduated from the Northfield School for Girls in 1935, Katherine Gibbs College in 1936, and attended Leland Powers School of the Theater.

On Sept. 29, 1939 she married Andre C. Fleuriel. They divorced in 1968. She remarried Cyril N. Clarkson. She resided in Chester, Manchester and later in Londonderry, NH before her illness. She worked as a legal secretary for Sheehan, Phinney, Bass and Green in Manchester where she retired after 20 years.

She was strong willed and a resilient woman who was much admired and will be missed by all who knew her. She loved meeting people, loved to read, knit, do crafts and sew.

She is survived by her four children, Marc C. Fleuriel and his wife Judith of Farmington, NH, Lisa Hall and her husband Ronald C. of Portland, ME, Christine W. Fleuriel and her husband Merrill Kaitz of Beverly, MA, and Andre C. Fleuriel, Jr. and his partner Mark Boyd of Charlotte, NC, four grandchildren , Desiree D. Fleuriel, Adam J. Hall, Samuel and Shoshana Kranish. She is also survived by her sister, Jane Beilby of Youngstown, OH, also several nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours. Graveside services will be on June 23, 2007 at 2:00 pm at the Swampscott Cemetery, Essex St., Swampscott, MA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Cynthia Clarkson’s name to Harborside Northwood Nursing Home, Activities Department, Attn.
