FORT WASHINGTON, Md. — Henry Ware III, of Fort Washington, Md., and Cataumet, died in Boston on Nov. 25, 2011.
Born June 30, 1935, in Glen Ridge, N.J., he grew up in Summit, N.J. For the past 45 years he lived in Fort Washington, Md., and spent summers on Cape Cod.
Educated at Harvard University, Hiram College and American University, Henry worked as a Russian translator for the Library of Congress, and then as a systems analyst until his retirement.
Henry will be remembered for his quiet wit and his devotion to family. He loved music, photography and crossword puzzles, competing annually in the American Crossword Puzzle Tournament.
He leaves his loving wife, Susan, of 45 years; four children, Robert of Fort Washington, Md., Elizabeth Conway of Duxbury, Katherine Lertora of Olney, Md., and Margaret Ware of Denver; six grandchildren; and a brother, William of Cataumet. Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ware Jr., and a sister, Jane Colven.
