Dorothy Jean Ware Obituary, 2001

RINGGOLD — Dorothy “Dot” Jean Ware, 72, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2001, at her residence.

A lifelong resident of the Ringgold area, Mrs. Ware was a retired bookkeeper for Benny Jackson Ford and was a member of the Ringgold Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest Ware.

She is survived by four daughters, Pat Cagle, Orange Park, Fla., Debbie Swafford, Cleveland, Tenn., Connie Holbert, Lawrenceville, Ga., and Pam Gunter, Watkinsville, Ga.; two sisters, Marie McBryar, Ringgold, Ga., and Jo Ann Williams, Tampa, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 27, in the funeral home chapel with minister Mike Gurganus officiating.

Entombment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and on Thursday from 11 a.m. until time of funeral.

Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home, Wallis-Stewart Chapel, Ringgold, Ga.
