Ralph L. Ware, 79, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013.
He was born March 17, 1933, in Phillipi, W.Va., the son of the late Edgar Andrew and Ethel Moats Ware.
Ralph retired from Copperweld Steel as the superintendent of the finishing department in 1982, after 31 1/2 years of service. He spent the next 30 years enjoying his retirement with his family and friends.
He attended North-Mar Church of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, and enjoyed woodworking, flower gardening and listening to gospel music.
Mr. Ware is survived by his sweetheart, Helen Shirey of Newton Falls; two daughters, Ruth (Bobby) Long of Warren and Tamara (Bruce) Metzler of Warren; a son, Lloyd (Julie) Ware of Warren; former son-in-law, Craig Bell of Warren; sisters, Marcella “Sis” (Raymond) Cutright of Millcreek, W.Va., and Eleanor Howard of Warren; and a brother, David (Jean) Ware of Warren. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, Seth, Brooke, Benjamin, Jaclyn, Candace, Mallory, Brandon, April, Tammy and Aubrey; along with two great-grandchildren, Amyah and Rush.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Channell Ware; a son, Ralph N. Ware; a granddaughter, Andrea Ware; and a sister, Daillee Moore.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where the Rev. Robert Long and the Rev. Sam Marullo will officiate. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and again Saturday one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in Bazetta Hillside Cemetery.
