Ginger Denise Ware was the daughter of Leighton Ferrell Ware and Roberta Puckett Ware. She had three sisters, Mona, Jackie and Dona Weston (deceased) and a brother, Leighton Eugene Ware. (Leighton died one week later.) She was a retired Sergeant with the Harris County Sheriff’s Department in Houston, TX.

She had a long and successful career in law enforcement. The following is one of her outstanding accomplishments:

Houston, TX USA…November 10, 2006– Ginger Ware, Sergeant of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office has been named Professional of the Year representing Law Enforcement by Cambridge Who’s Who. Ms. Ware has an impressive background in law enforcement. As Sergeant of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, she is responsible for overseeing office operations and management as well as the operations of the central control center and the visitor control center. In addition, she is responsible for inmate count. Ms. Ware teaches self defense. and is a black belt in Tai Kwon Do. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is a law enforcement agency and detention center charged with the care, custody and control of inmates.

Ms. Ware received her masters degree in criminal justice management from Sam Houston University. She is a member of the National Criminal Justice Honor Society and the Golden Key Honor Society.
