Zola Aimee Garrison Ware Obituary, 1999

Zola Aimee Garrison Ware, died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 72. She was a member of Brainerd United Methodist Church and was a former member of Trinity-Woodmore United Methodist Church. She was president of the General Society of United Methodist Women, a life member of United Methodist Women, and had taught Sunday school for 50 years. Mrs. Ware attended Bright School and was a graduate of Girls Preparatory School and Sweetbriar College. Mrs. Ware had taught school at Yorktown, Va., and Girls Preparatory School. She was president of the Missionary Ridge PTA and was vice president and acting president of the Missionary Ridge Garden Club. She also was a Red Cross volunteer at Erlanger Hospital for 27 years. Survivors include her husband, James G. Ware; daughter, Mrs. James D. (Aimee) Hammond; and a grandson, both of Sao Paulo, Brazil. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Brainerd United Methodist Church with the Rev. Brent Hall officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 6 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Brainerd United Methodist Church, 4315 Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, TN 37411.
