Jeanne A. Ware Obituary, 1998

Jeanne A. Ware spent years as a volunteer at the MetroHealth Medical Center Neonatal Unit and Child Life Department.

Mrs. Ware, 60, died Thursday at home. She had cancer.

She was born in Pittsburgh and graduated from Annunciation High School. She came here in 1971.

She worked at Higbee Department store for a short time. She also volunteered at Lakewood Hospital in the Transport and Life Line departments.

She was active with the PTA and served as a past president at Madison School.

Mrs. Ware also was a Girl Scout leader and a Cub Scout den mother.

She was an active member of St. James Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharistic minister and was a renewal leader.

Mrs. Ware enjoyed refinishing furniture for her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Rodney B.; sons, Paul of Grafton, David of Chester, N.Y., and Bryan of Lakewood; daughter, Linda Ware of Lakewood; and six grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today at St. James Church, 17514 Detroit Ave., Lakewood.

Brinkman-Dress Funeral Home in Lakewood is handling arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the St. James Church restoration fund; Lakewood United Methodist Church, 15700 Detroit Ave., Lakewood; or Lakewood Christian Service Center, 1410 Marlowe Ave., Lakewood.
