OAKVILLE — Eleanor F. (Ware) Derouin, 94, of Tower Road, passed away peacefully Monday, January 14, 2019 at Waterbury Hospital. She was the widow of Armand J. Derouin.
Mrs. Derouin was born December 25, 1924 in Orland, Maine, the daughter of the late Oscar and Amelia (Skillings) Ware. A longtime resident of Oakville/Watertown, she was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church.
She enjoyed summer vacations in Maine, trips to the casino and watching the UConn Girls’ Basketball team. She was very fond of dogs and was a loving, devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She leaves three daughters, Nancy Weidemier of Watertown, Gail Derouin Cesarello of Oakville and June Bouffard and her husband, Michael, of Oakville; her sister, Phyllis Monterose of Watertown; eight grandchildren, Marnie Ford, Bill Weidemier, Brian Weidemier, Richard Cesarello, Amanda Cesarello, Matthew Bouffard, Timothy Bouffard and Daniel Bouffard; 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Margaret Hooper.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 17, at St. John the Evangelist Church, 574 Main St., Watertown.
Burial followed in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Platt Road, Watertown.
Arrangements were by Hickcox Funeral Home, 195 Main St., Watertown.
