Mary Anne Ware Ballew passed away peacefully on the 9th of November in the year of 2018 in Austin Texas at the age of 89. Mary Anne was born in Roanoke, Alabama to Dewitt Talmadge Ware and Martha “Marchie” Sewell Ware on December 17th in the year 1928. Mary Anne married the love of her life Charles Harrison Ballew on the 7th day of August in 1948. Mary Anne received her bachelors degree in elementary education followed with her master’s in education and counseling. Her passion for teaching with devotion to her students was evident throughout her whole life. She was very proud of being a teacher. She taught 26 years for AlSO and RRISD, and for five years tutored. Mary Anne enjoyed, and loved gardening, she was a member of the Austin Chrysanthemum SOciety, her number one priority above all was her family. She was preceded in death by her Husband Dr. Charles Harrison Ballew, MD her twin sister Martha Ava Ware Blackwell, and her grandson “Alex” Alexander Harrison-Henry Ballew. Mary Anne is survived by her daughter Deborah Anne Ballew, her son James Christopher Ballew, and her baby Daughter Melinda Lou Ballew. Also surviving her nephew Perry Beasley, her Nieces Lesa Hauser, Bonnie Beasley, and Brenda Vaughn who resided in Alabama. A graveside service will be held in Rising Star Texas on November 16th 2018 at the Rising Star Cemetery at 2:00 pm.
