
Ryan was born March 30, 1979, in Sidney, Ohio to Douglas and Peggy (Klopfenstein) Ware. Ryan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Duane and Doris (Yost) Ware; and his grandfather-in law, Arthur Barnes.
In addition to his parents, Ryan is survived by his loving wife, Renee, and his children, Morgan and Logan Gambill; sisters, Kristi and Jay Bayhan, and Melanie and Allen York; grandparents, Norman and Virginia (Regula) Klopfenstein; nieces, Katelyn Bayhan, Tiffany (Bayhan) and Christian Mabry and Corinne and Whitney York; great-nephews, James and Jaxon Mabry; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Barnes; grandmother-in-law, Nora Barnes; brother-in-law, Cameron Smith; and many other extended family and friends.
Ryan was a 1997 graduate of Jackson Center High School. He worked at various jobs before finding his true passion in the Emergency Medical Services as a firefighter and paramedic. Ryan completed his Level II Firefighter/EMT-8 training at the Ohio Fire Academy in Columbus, Ohio. He graduated from Rhodes State Community College; Lima, Ohio to obtain his paramedic license. He pursued his love for firefighting/EMS. He was active in leading training classes and demanding physical fire and rescue training in the field. Ryan was there to help others no matter what the challenges were that he had to face.
For the last four years, Ryan served as a paramedic with the Richmond Fire Department. He was promoted to Chief of Emergency Medical Services in 2017. Ryan was a valued part of the team.
Ryan was a member of St. Jacob’s Lutheran Church, Jackson Township. He was active in the Greater Sidney Area Emmaus Community.
Ryan possessed an energy that brought smiles and laughter wherever he went. He enjoyed volunteer coaching Morgan and Logan’s sport teams, landscaping, working out, canoeing and hanging out with family and friends.
Ryan’s strength of spirit and sense of humor will remain unforgotten and will be cherished by those who knew and loved him.
The Rev. David Sanders will officiate a celebration of life service at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 24, 2018, at the St. Jacob’s Lutheran Church, 18280 Pasco-Montra Road, Jackson Center, Ohio.
Visitation will be Sunday, Sept. 23, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 214 W. Pike St., Jackson Center, Ohio.
A private interment will take place in Glen Cemetery, Port Jefferson.
