I’m trying to track down a Blackman slave that was bequeathed to Henry B Ware (son of Thomas Ware) by William W. Blackman during his residency in Chambers County Alabama. The slave I believe could be my great great great grandmother.
William W. Blackman died around 1843 in Chambers County Alabama.
Henry Ware moved to Colorado County Texas around 1846, and later moved to Harrison County Texas; however I can’t find an 1850 Slave Schedule for him in Texas showing the Blackman slave or the slave he inherited from his father.
Just wondering if you have any records that could assist me in my search for her.
Thank you in advance,
Karen
