Death came at about 8:00 o’clock Tuesday evening to Mrs. Jessie Ware, a resident of this community for about 77 years. She had been in declining health for several years, but a stroke suffered recently caused her demise.

Mrs. Ware was born in Grand Rapids, November 25, 1860. She later became the wife of John Ware, who preceded her in death some years ago.

Funeral services will be held today (Friday) at the Bennett-Edwards Funeral Home at 2:00 o’clock, the Rev. E.W. Tink officiating. Her body will be laid to rest in Bear Lake township cemetery where neighbors and friends worked willingly Thursday shoveling the snow away, that all might attend and pay loving tribute to a faithful friend.

Surviving are 10 sons, Everal of Onekama, Burt, Ray, Charles, Harry, Roy and Willis of Bear Lake, Ward of Manistee, Lawrence of Pontiac, and Emery of Arcadia; a daughter, Mrs May Fauble of Cadillac; many, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.”
