Funeral Rites Held Yesterday For Late Ralph Marion Ware
President and Member of Board of Directors of The First National Bank of Berryville

Funeral services for the late Ralph Marion Ware, 65, president of The First National Bank of Berryville, were conducted yesterday afternoon from the John H. Enders Funeral Home, by the Rev. William N. Haney, pastor of Duncan Memorial Church.

Burial was in the Green Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were directors of the bank, H. N. Hitter, A. B. Hummer, J. Edward Thoma, Leonard H. Bell, Richard B. Smith, Jr., Edward McC.Williams and C. C. Funkhouser, and Charles R. Roberson, cashier.

Honorary pallbearers were Robert Lee Withers, W. E. Henson, Gene Dunn, Dr. C. H. Iden, Dr. Tom Iden, Hugh Owens, James H. Dakeman, Edward P. Berlin, Walter Rutherford, Garland Canter, Rice W. Levi, Oscar Ramsburg and David Donovan.

Mr. Ware died Sunday night at his home in Berryville following a long illness. He was born September 30, 1893, a son of the late Rosa K. Bradfield of Loudoun county, and James W. Ware of Clarke county. Mr. Ware was graduated from the Berryville High School, class of 1911. He was with The Clarke Courier for a year and then joined the staff of The First National Bank, starting in as a bookkeeper. Mr. Ware worked his way up the ladder through different offices, reaching the highest office in the bank, that of president. He had been a member of the board of directors for many years.
