“WARE, Edward Newell, clergyman, born at Richmond KY., July 2, 1860; son of Samuel Cowell and Sarah Ann (Miller) Ware; M.A., Ill.  Wesleyan Univ., Bloomington, 1887; grad. McCormick Theol. Sem., Chicago, 1889, postgrad,  Princeton Theol. Serm., 1902-3; (D.D. Richmond [O.] Coll., 1904); married Cora N. Willis, of Enfield, Ill.  May 21, 1889; 4 children; Willis Craig, Edward Newell Jr., Jean Stewart, Marion Chalmers.  Ordained Presbyn. ministry, Apr 10, 1889; pastor Florence, Wis.,1889-96, Morrisonville, Ill., 1896, Bedford, Ia., 1896-1902, Endevaor Ch., Chicago, since 1903.  Stated clerk, Winnebago (Wis.) Presbytery, 1894-6, Coming (Ia.) Presbytery, 1899-1902; permanent clerk, Synod of Wis., 1895.  Recreations tennis, golf.  Residence: 1824 Eddy St.”
