“Sherri L. Ware, 51, of Salina, formerly of Liberal, passed away Friday, March 13, 2009. Sherri was born Nov. 24, 1957, in Beaver, Okla., the daughter of Charles H. and Billie J. (Potter) Ware. She worked as a registered nurse at the Salina Regional Health Center. She enjoyed the outdoors, genealogy and motorcycling and had a passion for music.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Billie; one brother, Darrell Ware; and one nephew, Mark Ware. Survivors include her father, Charles; one brother, Gary D. Ware, of Indianapolis, Ind.; two sisters, Rita Protzman and husband Robert and Mickey L. Tannehill, all of Salina; and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, where the family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Kaye Pogue Hospice Center”
