“TISHOMINGO – Floyd Lavon Ware, 76, died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011. He was a native of Colbert County, Ala. He was project coordinator for TVA Hydroelectric Facilities. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 522 at Tishomingo since 1960. He was the post commander of Post 144 for the American Legion in Tishomingo. He was a member of Ironworkers Local 477 at Sheffield for almost 50 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving for four years. He was a member of Liberty Church of Christ.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Liberty Church of Christ in Dennis with Bro. Ron Deaton and Bro. J.B. Burns officiating. Burial will be in Tishomingo City Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home of Belmont in charge of arrangements.

Survivors are his wife of 52 years, Geneva Ware of Tishomingo; four children, Sondra Dowdell (Doug of Memphis, Christi Gibson (Keith) of Battleground, Ind., Tanya Bowman (Brett) Austin, Texas, and Dustin Ware (Sonya) of Tishomingo; one brother, Jerry Ware of Tishomingo; and 11 grandchildren, Darby Dowdell, Connor Dowdell, Fallon Hartsell, Colin Ozbirn, Austin Gibson, Jessica Bowman, Jake Bowman, Taylor Bowman, Shelby Bonds, Lily Ware and Annsley Ware.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Ray Ware and Flora Todd Ware, and two sisters, Nancy Ware and Jane Gray.

Pallbearers will be Doug Dowdell, Keith Gibson, Brett Bowman, Colin Ozbirn, Austin Gibson and Wayne Martin. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Gist, Pete Walker, Fairless Southward, Jerry Ware, Tommy Joe Cornelius, Merle Trimm, Sam Reid, Leonard South, Ed Golden, John Gwatney and Robert Wright.”
