Izetta Jewell Ware, 83, of Beckley, formerly of Summersville, died Thursday, July 26, 2007, in Bowers Hospice House, Beckley. Born Jan. 9, 1924, in Kanawha County, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Mabel Ransom Cavender. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard Ware; a sister, Hilda Sigmon; and brothers, Ted, Clarency and Kayo Cavender. She was a Methodist. Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Lynne and Dennis Elliott of Beckley and Jennifer Ware of Radcliff, Ky.; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Betty and John Long and Jean Cline of Cross Lanes; grandson, Matthew Waitkus of Richmond, Ky.; stepgrandchildren, Melissa Beckwith and husband, Vinson, of Durham, N.C., and Doug Elliott and companion, Shannon Nottingham, of Youngsville, N.C.; stepgreat-grandchildren, Hannah and Blaine Beckwith and Casey and Caylee Elliott; and special caregivers, Central West Virginia Aging Services and the staff at Bowers Hospice House. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 29, at White Funeral Home, Summersville, with the Rev. Jim Daily officiating. Interment will follow in West Virginia Memorial Gardens, Calvin. Friends may call 90 minutes prior to the service Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Dr., Beckley, WV 25801.
