Martha Collier Ware Obituary, 2012

Martha Collier Ware, 88, of Lawrenceburg, widow of John C. “Pete” Ware died Thursday, July 12, 2012, at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center. She was born in Dothan, Ala., to the late Isaac David and Verla Lee Lambert Collier. She was a member of Sand Spring Baptist Church, a former church secretary, pianist and a Sunday school teacher. She taught piano lessons to many children in Anderson County. She is survived by two daughters, Janet Lee Ware, Lawrenceburg, Lucy Ware Rodes (Robert), North Carolina; two sons, David Collier Ware (Peggy), Frankfort, and Robert Wayne “Bob” Ware (Pam), Lawrenceburg; eight grandchildren, Katie Ware (Tim Cornette) and family, Versailles, Bobby Ware (Joline), Idaho, Carrie Ware and family, Frankfort, Jennifer Ware and family, Frankfort, Casey Ware Starker and family, Mary Ware Todarello and family, Andy Ware and family, and Jack Ware, all of Wis.; a sister Mary Nell Collier Watson, Ala. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, John Clark Ware Jr., a grandson, Allen Rodes, two sisters, Ann Collier Glasgow, Louise Collier Hagan; and a brother, Isaac David Collier Jr. Funeral services were July 17 at Gash Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Mike Hamrick officiating. Burial followed in Sand Spring Cemetery.
