Althea O. Ware, 93, of Fayetteville died Monday, Oct. 27, 2003, at Brookstone Assisted Living in Fayetteville.
She was born July 28, 1910, in Jacksonville, Fla., to Albert and Nellie Wallace Monroe.
She and husband Jack operated several plant nurseries in California for a number of years before retiring and returning to Arkansas. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Walker Macon “Jack” Ware Sr., and a son, Richard Alan Ware.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Althea Smith of Springdale and Dorothy Lea Wilson of Fayetteville; two sons, Walker M. “Buck” Ware Jr. of Bigfork, Mont., and Gregory Kent Smith of Siloam Springs; 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
The family conducted a private funeral service.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale.
