James Ware, 64, of East Orange died on Aug. 10, 2008.

The funeral service is Monday at 10 a.m. at the Abyssinian Baptist Church, 224 W. Kinney St., Newark. Interment will be in the William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown. Visitation is at the Cotton Funeral Service, 1025 Bergen St., Newark, on Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. Ritualistic service by Pyramid Lodge 60 International Free and Accepted Masons will begin at 4:30 p.m.

James was the husband of Barbara Ware; beloved father of Betty Crawford, James L. and Genene Ware; cherished grandfather of three grandchildren; devoted son of Rutha Ware-Carlors and the late Ulysses Ware Sr., and dear brother of Betty Drinks, Thelma Harris, Lisa, Paula, Willie, Ulysses Jr. and Tommie Ware. He is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
