Robert Ware Obituary, 2005

WARE, ROBERT, 81 – of Northfield, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at the Meadowview Nursing home in Northfield.

Robert was a lifelong area resident having resided in Pleasantville most of his life. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WW II. In his earlier years he worked as a painter with William Oldham. Later he worked for many years at Whitehall Laboratories in Hammonton. Robert was an avid golfer having once shot a hole-in-one at the 150 yard, second hole of Pomona Golf and Country Club during a tournament. He also had enjoyed fishing in his earlier years.

He was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth “Betty” Ware and his brothers Howard and Leon and a sister Helen Hewitt. He is survived by his brother Andrew Ware of Northfield; a sister-in-law Thelma Ware of Broomall, PA; nieces, Irma Shaw of Egg Harbor Township, Diane Bennan of Somers Point and Jerilyn Higgins of Broomall, PA; nephews Howard Ware of Egg Harbor Township, John Shaw of Clearville, PA and Leon Ware of Somers Point.

Funeral services were held Friday and burial was in Greenwood Cemetery, Pleasantville.
