Gisela Ware Obituary, 2005

GISELA WARE Age 75 of Lake Station passed away at Community Hospital in Munster, Saturday, February 26, 2005. Gisela was born April 29, 1929 in Berschweiler, Germany. She came to the United States in 1959 and became a proud American Citizen in 1963. She resided in Lake Station since 1966 and retired from the City of Lake Station. She also worked the voting polls at every election and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Lake Station Post #100. Gisella was an avid and excellent Gardner. Most of all she was a very generous and caring person with a wonderful and feisty spirit who had a great sense of humor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Y. Ware; infant son, Cecil Peter Ware; sister, Anni bach and brother, Bernhard Klos. Gisela is survived by her beloved daughter, Carmen Ware of Schererville; sisters, Erika Staudte and Wanda Jungbluth; brother, Franz Klos, all of Germany; many nieces and nephews and loving friends here and abroad. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the Geisen Funeral Home, 7905 Broadway, Merrillville, Reverend Geraldine Colvin officiating. Mrs. Ware will be laid to rest next to her husband, Cecil in Upshur County Memorial Park in Upshur County, West Virginia. Friends may call at the Geisen Funeral Home, Merrillville, Tuesday, March 1st from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
