Lois Nell Ware, 81, Marion, died Friday, March 22, 2013, at her residence with her family at her side. She was born Aug. 28, 1931, in Howard County, Ind., to the late Ralph and Vada (Cuthrell) Peterson. She married Russell H. Ware Oct. 1, 1966. He survives.
She was a retired secretary. Lois was a member of The Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, Calif., where she was a volunteer stage manager for the “Hour of Power” program over 20 years. Locally she was a member of Church of Christ of Normal where she was baptized in their open pond.
Lois was an avid cyclist. At age 79, she rode 79 miles on the Cardinal Greenway–one mile for each year, which she did every birthday. Fridays were “sister days” to get together with her sisters for fun and relaxation. She was very creative and enjoyed folding published Origami from the book, as well as her own designs–some of which her younger relatives have kept for years.
