George Ware Obituary, 1997

George Ware, a retired cement finisher for Donald G. Lambert Construction Co., died Monday of leukemia at his home. He was 81. Mr. Ware was born in Reform, Ala., and lived in Kenner for the past 30 years. He was a member of St. Michael Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Willie Mae Ware; six daughters, Emma Jane Jones, Ruthie M. Harrington, Freddie Lee Farmer, Hattie B. Hayes, Mary Alice Lloyd and Elizabeth Taylor; a brother, Dennis Pate Jr.; a sister, Emma Jane Bradley; 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Richardson Funeral Home, 11112 Jefferson Highway, River Ridge. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Love and Charity Cemetery in Kenner.
