Olivia Ware Obituary, 2002

A resident of St. Francisville, she died at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2002, at St. Francisville Country Manor Nursing Home. She was 85 and a native of Plettenberg. Visiting at Magnolia Baptist Church from noon Friday until service at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Larry Pate. Interment in church cemetery. Survived by her sister, Julia Ware, New Orleans; a sister-in-law, Rosie Ware, Fort Adams, Miss.; the Rev. Earnest James, Hollywood, La., affectionately known as her son; a goddaughter, Rose Pate, Weyanoke; and nieces, nephews, devoted neighbors, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, Eva Strong and Alfred Ware; four sisters, Margaret Haywood, Alice Swapse, Paralee Ware and Ella Carroll; and five brothers, Henry Haywood and Alfred, Theodore, West and Junius Ware. Miller & Daughter Mortuary, Zachary, in charge of arrangements.
