Shirley Ware Obituary, 2002

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Shirley Ware, 66, died Friday, Oct. 25, 2002.

She was a native of West Point, Va., and she lived most of her life in Lake Charles. She was a member of Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church and was a longtime employee of Combre Enterprises.

Survivors include two daughters, Evangeline Lavergne of Jacksonville and Joyce Mcclellan of Temple, Texas; four sons, Alonzo Ware Jr. of Mobile, Ala., Ronald Ware of Lake Charles, Coy Robinson of Brahmville, Va., and Arron Ware of Lake Charles; two sisters, Joyce Yarbourgh of Staten Island, N. Y., and Francis Washington of King William, Va.; five brothers, Mason Robinson of King Queen, Va., James ” Moon ” Morris of West Point and Frank Robinson, Charlie Robinson and William Robinson, all of Richmond, Va.; and 14 grandchildren.

Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, in Combre Funeral Home. The Rev. Freddie Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Combre Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is from 11 a.m. Wednesday.
