Eliot Ware Obituary
Eliot Ware, 87, formerly of Bolton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Wachusett Manor Nursing Home in Gardner. He is survived by his be loved wife of 58 years, Mary I. (Costedio) Ware; and their son, Michael A. Ware, of Gardner; 5 grandchildren, Holly Ware of Pittsburgh, PA; Chelsea Lynn Ware of Las Vegas, NV; Ryan Ware of Long Beach, CA; Danielle Ware, and Christopher Ware, both of Chicago, IL; great-granddaughter, Adeline Marie Ware; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Ruth Sizemore, Alice Babcock, William, Arthur and Edward C. Ware, Jr. Eliot was born in Clinton to the late Edward & Ida (Walcott) Ware. He was raised in Bolton, and graduated from the Hudson High School, Class of 1946, where he lettered as a member of the varsity baseball and hockey teams. Eliot enlisted and proudly served our nation as a Sergeant and Tank Trainer in the United States Army during the Korean War. He returned home safely to begin his lifelong career as a heavy equipment operator for Bonazzolli Construction Company. He ultimately retired after fifteen years as a diesel mechanic for the Town of Hudson Department of Public Works. Eliot served his community as a volunteer firefighter for the Town of Bolton and as a member of the American Legion in Hudson. He enjoyed the outdoors, took pride in his yard work, and always had a mechanical repair project underway. A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 2pm on Sunday, November 22, 2015 in the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton, with burial to be held later in South Cemetery, Bolton.
