Floyd J. Ware, 85, House Springs, died May 5, 2007, at Delmar Gardens South, St. Louis. He was born Aug. 15, 1921, in Cuba, the son of Jess and Annie (Osborn) Ware.
He was a carpenter for 36 years and owner of the Ware Building. He was a member of the Carpenter’s Union. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Arnold.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Fern G. (Hoover) Ware, whom he married May 4, 1940, in St. Charles; three children, Paul (Marilyn) Ware of Pacific, Cleta (Don) Bailey of Bradenton, Fla., and Kathie (Paul) Goggin of St. Louis; two brothers, Elmer Ware and Charles Ware, both of Cuba; seven grandchildren, Michael Ware, David Ware, Kim Lawson, Kelle Dendler, Mark Goggin, Kristen Ellis and Timothy Goggin; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and four brothers, Edwin, Virgil, Marvin and Roy Ware.
Funeral was May 8 at Chapel Hill Mortuary, Cedar Hill. Interment is in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Mink Ferguson for the First Baptist Church of Arnold missionary fund.
