BOWLING GREEN – Paul Durward Ware, 95, of Bowling Green, died at 1:37 p.m. Monday, April 19, 2004, at Pike County Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 22, at Sterne Funeral Home in Louisiana. The Rev. Donald Amelung will officiate. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery in Louisiana.
Visitation will be from noon until time of services Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Ware was born April 12, 1909, in Bowling Green to William P. and Ruby E. Dougherty Ware.
Survivors include one brother, Nevins C. Ware and wife, Gertrude, of Pinckneyville, Ill.; and one nephew, William C. Ware and wife, Sue, of Lake Zurich, Ill.
He was preceded in death by Mildred Clarkson Ware; and his parents.
Mr. Ware served in the U.S. Army during the European Middle Eastern Theatre Campaign from March 16, 1943, to Nov. 16, 1945, and was awarded the Bronze Star. He was a member of Second Baptist Church in Bowling Green.
