Harry L. Ware, died on Sunday, July 15, at Kaiser Hospital in Vallejo. He was born on Jan. 29, 1932, in Hettinger, N.D.In the 1940’s he moved to Vallejo and graduated from Vallejo High School with honors. In 1951 he entered the U. S. Navy. He served aboard the Aircraft Carrier USS Oriskany in the Korean War and was stationed in Alaska and Japan. After leaving the Navy he moved to Fairfield to live with his parents, Faye and Francis Ware.Harry was employed by Mare Island Naval Shipyard in Nuclear Engineering Department. He retired in 1990 after 39 years of service and winning many awards. He had been a resident of Napa since 1966.He is survived by his wife, Therese (Gnotta) Ware of Napa who he married in June of 1956; one son, Wesley Ware, daughter-in-law Sarah, one granddaughter, Emma, aged 15 months all of Napa; one daughter, Tiffany Ware of Los Angeles; one sister, Winnefred Welty of Salem, Ore.; and one brother, Wesley H. Ware of Pleasanton.Friends are invited to attend the funeral mass on Monday, July 23, 10 a.m., at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 2725 Elm Street in Napa. Burial will follow at Tulocay Cemetery in Napa. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church development fund, 2725 Elm St., Napa. Arrangements are under the direction of the Claffey and Rota Funeral Home.
