Accomplished seamstress, Chester resident
Esma O. Washington Ware, 89, of Chester, a seamstress, died June 20 at home.
Mrs. Ware was born and educated in Mineral, Louisa County, Va. A homemaker, she was an accomplished seamstress who also enjoyed doing crafts.
Mrs. Ware was a member of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith, Chester, for many years.
She was the widow of Melvin W. Ware, who died in 1966, and the mother of Elsie Ware, who died in 2001. Mrs. Ware was the daughter of the late Andrew and Florence Washington and the sister of the late Ora Winn, Lillian B. Lewis, Alice Ware, Clifton Washington and Chester Washington.
Survivors: Son, Monroe Ware of Aston daughters, Gracie Ware and Charlotte Ware, both of Chester one grandchild one great-grandchild
Visitation: 10 a.m.-noon Friday, W.M. James Leake Funeral Home, 10th and Pusey streets, Chester.
Burial: Haven Memorial Park, Chester Township.
