CIVILIAN EMPLOYEE OF NAVY, 78 Sylvia E. Bhatta Ware, 78, of Bensalem, a wartime member of the Army who retired as a civilian employee of the Navy, died Saturday at White Billet Nursing Home in Hatboro.
Mrs. Ware, who was born and educated in Philadelphia, had resided in North Wales for 15 years before moving to Bensalem two years ago.
She retired in the late 1970s after 35 years as a stock-control employee at the Navy defense supply offices in Northeast Philadelphia. During World War II, she was a technician with the Army Medical Corps.
She was a member of the senior citizens group at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Warrington.
Her husband of 27 years, Albert J. Ware Sr., died in 1997.
She is survived by stepchildren, Mary Del Grissell, Albert J. Jr., Theodore, Edward and James; her stepmother, Olive Vote; a brother; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 11:30 a.m. today at Molden Funeral Chapel, 133 Otter St., Bristol Borough, where a service will be held at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Rosedale Memorial Park, Neshaminy Boulevard, Oakford.
